Reserve on one marketplace and the product is set aside on the other

  • What Ruit does

It sets a unit aside and reserves sibling listings.

    More detail

Whether you reserve on the marketplace or from Ruit, Ruit takes one unit off the stock, sends the new quantity to the marketplaces with quantities, reserves the sibling listings on Wallapop and Vinted and notifies you. On IberLibro, the quantity only changes on the books you listed from Ruit.

  • On Vinted, reserving means hiding

Ruit hides the listing, since it cannot mark it reserved.

    More detail

It shows it to buyers again when the reservation is removed, without losing it.

  • When the reservation ends

Removing it returns the unit to stock.

    More detail

The sibling listings return to their previous status. If it ends in a sale, no second unit is taken off, and the other listings come down or go back on sale depending on the stock left.

How to use it, step by step

  1. 1

    Reserve wherever suits you

On Wallapop or Vinted, or from Ruit: in Inventory, Publications, open the status of the listing and choose Mark as reserved.

  2. 2

    Ruit sets the product aside

From Ruit, the other listings are reserved right away; from the marketplace, with the next sync.

  3. 3

Remove the reservation if it falls through

Choose Remove reservation in the same menu, or remove it on the marketplace.

Good to know

Only Wallapop and Vinted have reservations; elsewhere the quantity changes, on IberLibro only for books listed from Ruit. With automatic delisting off, Ruit only records the reservation, and marketplace reservations arrive with the next sync.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have a question? Contact us

What does it mean to reserve an item?
In Ruit, it sets one unit aside for a buyer without selling it: no transaction is created, no listing comes down, and removing the reservation undoes it.
How does reserving on Vinted work with Ruit?
When a Vinted listing is reserved, Ruit picks it up with the next sync, takes one unit off your stock and reserves the sibling listings. A reservation made from Ruit hides the listing on Vinted, because Ruit cannot set the reserved status there.
How do I remove a reservation on Vinted?
Choose Remove reservation in Ruit, and Ruit shows the listing again on Vinted and puts the unit back into stock. A reservation made on Vinted itself is removed there, and Ruit picks that up with the next sync.
Can I reserve several listings at once?
Yes. Select the rows in Inventory, Publications and use Mark as reserved; before applying it, Ruit tells you how many can be reserved.
Why can I not show a hidden Vinted listing?
If a reservation made on another marketplace hid it, Ruit does not let you show it from the app: you would be offering something set aside for another buyer.
