Sold it outside Vinted? Mark it as sold from Ruit

Closed the deal by message or in person? Mark it as sold or reserved.

Available on Wallapop, Vinted, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, and IberLibro

Ruit app screen: Mark as sold or reserved
  • Sold

Ruit acts as it would with a detected sale.

    More detail

It takes one unit off, records the sale in your transactions, updates the quantities and, if the stock reaches zero, removes the other listings. On IberLibro, the quantity only changes on the books you listed from Ruit.

  • Reserved

Ruit reserves it on Wallapop and Vinted and sets one unit aside.

    More detail

On Vinted it does so by hiding the listing. It also reserves the sibling listings on Wallapop and Vinted, and removing the reservation undoes it.

  • One or several

Mark one from its status, or several rows at once.

    More detail

In Inventory, Publications, the status of a listing on sale or reserved is a menu with its actions.

How to use it, step by step

  1. 1

    Find the listing

In Inventory, Publications, find its row, or select several.

  2. 2

    Choose the action

Open the status and choose Mark as sold or Mark as reserved, or use the selection bar.

  3. 3

    Confirm the change

Confirm if Ruit asks you to.

Good to know

Reserving only exists on Wallapop and Vinted; on WooCommerce, PrestaShop and IberLibro, the status only changes in Ruit. An out-of-stock listing on a store with quantities accepts none of these actions, and the sibling listings depend on automatic delisting.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have a question? Contact us

Can I mark a Vinted item as sold when it sold elsewhere?
Yes, from Ruit with Mark as sold. Ruit cannot set a sold status on Vinted, so it deletes the listing, takes the unit off your stock and records the sale in your transactions.
What should I do when an item sells on Vinted?
In Ruit, nothing: with automatic sync, it picks up the sale on its next check and takes the unit off your stock and, if automatic delisting is on, removes your other listings once none are left. Mark as sold is for deals closed off Vinted.
How do I mark an item as reserved on Vinted?
From Ruit, with Mark as reserved. Ruit cannot set a reserved status on Vinted, so it hides the listing from buyers, sets one unit aside and shows it again when you remove the reservation.
Why do I not see the option to reserve?
Because the listing belongs to a marketplace without reservations: only Wallapop and Vinted have them.
Do my other listings come down when I mark one as sold?
Only if the product stock reaches zero. With units to spare, Ruit takes one off and updates the quantity on the marketplaces that work with quantities, on IberLibro only for the books you listed from Ruit.
