One sale on one marketplace, reflected in your marketplaces

Listing on several marketplaces comes with one risk: selling the same thing twice. Ruit follows each sale to prevent it.

  • How Ruit spots a sale

Ruit watches the reliable sale signal on each marketplace.

    More detail

On Wallapop and Vinted, the listing turning to sold; on eBay and WooCommerce, the sales counter going up; on PrestaShop and Todocolección, the stock reaching zero; on Shopify, the order notification from the store; on IberLibro, the book showing up as ordered and dropping out of your storefront.

  • What happens next

It takes one unit off the stock and, at zero, removes your other listings.

    More detail

Ruit notifies you, records the sale in your transactions and sends the new quantity to the marketplaces that work with quantities. On IberLibro, only to the books you listed from Ruit.

  • How each listing comes down

Each marketplace takes it down its own way, and not all delete it.

    More detail

On Wallapop and Vinted the listing is deleted, and on eBay it is ended. On Shopify the product is archived: it leaves the store but can be recovered. On WooCommerce and PrestaShop it stays up with its quantity at zero. On Todocolección the lot is taken down, and Ruit reactivates it when you restock. On IberLibro the listing is deleted for good: to sell it there again, it is listed as a new one.

How to use it, step by step

  1. 1

    List from your inventory

Publish it from its product page and, if you have several units, turn on Manage Stock and enter the quantity.

  2. 2

    Check the delist switch

In Settings, Automations & AI, Sync & delist, leave Enable automatic delist on.

  3. 3

    Follow each sale

With each sale you get a notification, the stock goes down and the sale shows up in your transactions.

Good to know

If it could not remove a listing, it tries again on the following syncs. If almost all your listings suddenly vanish from one marketplace, it treats that as a restriction and deletes nothing elsewhere.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have a question? Contact us

How do I avoid overselling across marketplaces?
List each product from your Ruit inventory, with Manage Stock on if you have several units. Each sale then comes off the stock and, once none are left, Ruit removes the product from your other marketplaces.
What happens if I sell a product I have several units of?
Ruit takes one unit off and keeps the listings up. Where quantities are supported it updates the number, on IberLibro only for the books you listed from Ruit; where each listing is a single unit, nothing changes until the stock reaches zero.
Can I turn automatic delisting off?
Yes, with a single switch for your whole account. Ruit keeps watching your marketplaces but no longer reserves or removes your other listings; only a deletion on a marketplace still carries over.
What if I delete the listing directly on the marketplace?
Ruit notices, but waits for the next check to confirm it, so a one-off error is never mistaken for a deletion. Then it removes the product from your other marketplaces.
Does my browser need to be open?
For Wallapop and Vinted, yes: Ruit works with them through the extension, using your open session. eBay, WooCommerce, Shopify, PrestaShop, Todocolección and IberLibro do not depend on your browser.
