Publishing

Publish at your own pace, in the hours you choose

A bulk publishing job goes out little by little, the way a person would upload it: with the delay and in the hours you choose.

Publishing all at once draws attention

Many listings in a row from the same account are the pattern marketplaces penalize.

  • One delay per marketplace, not a single queue

The delay counts between listings on the same marketplace.

    More detail

A product going to several marketplaces goes out on all of them at once, and the next one waits on each. Accounts on the same marketplace share its clock, so what makes a job longer is how many listings go to the same marketplace.

  • Automatic, fixed or random delay

Even with a fixed delay, Ruit adds a small random margin.

    More detail

In the Schedule step you choose the automatic one, a fixed one, a custom one in minutes or hours, or Random, which draws each delay between a minimum and a maximum. The margin keeps the rhythm from being periodic.

  • Activity hours, day by day

They are the windows, day by day, in which you allow Ruit to publish.

    More detail

You can switch off a day, add several windows or copy one day's schedule to all the others. A listing due outside them is not lost: it waits for the next window. To continue you need at least one active window.

  • How long it will take, before you start

The Confirm step works out how many listings go out per active day and when the job will finish.

    More detail

It uses your delays and windows, and warns you if the estimate runs long or your windows add up to few hours a day, so you can widen the windows, shorten the delay or split the batch.

  • Presets: your schedule, saved

Save your delay and windows as a named preset.

    More detail

You load it into the next job. Under Publishing presets, in the settings, you create, edit and delete them and mark one as the default. The default is never applied on its own: the wizard offers you a button to load it.

How to use it, step by step

  1. 1

    Launch a bulk publishing job

Select products in your inventory, press Schedule Publications and choose the accounts.

  2. 2

Set the delay and the hours

Choose the delay between listings and turn on each day's windows, or load a preset.

  3. 3

    Check the calendar and start

In Confirm, look at the pace per day and the estimated end, and press Start Publishing.

Good to know

Scheduling works by delay and by windows, not by a date and time for each listing: the job starts as soon as you confirm it. It does not apply to a product published from its own page, and a disconnected extension or retries can push the end back.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have a question? Contact us

Can you schedule a listing on Vinted?
Not for an exact day and time: in Ruit you add your Vinted listings to a bulk publishing job and choose the delay and the activity hours. Ruit works out when each one goes out, and you see it in the job dialog.
Does the delay count across all listings or per marketplace?
Per marketplace. A product goes out on all its marketplaces at once, and the delay separates the listings going to the same marketplace, whether from one account or several.
What happens to a listing that is due outside my activity hours?
It waits for the next window to open and goes out then. It is neither lost nor skipped.
Do I have to set up the schedule for every job?
No. Save it as a preset; if you mark one as the default, the wizard offers to load it with one tap.
Why does the job finish later than estimated?
Because Ruit publishes the listings of a job one at a time on each marketplace, and it keeps the delay even after an interruption. Retries, and Wallapop or Vinted listings waiting for your browser extension, also add time.
