How to use it, step by step

    Link Wallapop and Vinted with the extension installed.

    Open Messages

    Pick a chat. Beside it you see the item, the status and your notes.

    Reply, settle the offer or archive the chat.

Good to know

Text only: photos and files are sent from Wallapop or Vinted. And it needs the extension connected, because the chat runs through your browser.

How do you see messages on Vinted?
In Ruit, your Vinted chats come into the Messages list alongside your Wallapop ones, each with its marketplace and its account. Ruit reads the inbox through the extension, so it has to be connected.
Why are my Vinted messages not showing as read?
When you open a Vinted chat in Ruit, Ruit marks it as read on Vinted too, through the extension. The mark goes out only at that moment and is not retried, so if the connection or the extension was down, open the chat again once it is back.
How do I find a conversation?
Search looks at the name of the other person, the item title and your notes, not at the chat text. The filters narrow it by selling or buying, status, marketplace, account, starred or archived.
What happens if a message is not sent?
It stays in the thread marked with an error, and Ruit does not resend it on its own so it is never sent twice. Write it again and, if the notice mentions the extension, first check that it is connected.
Does archiving a chat archive it on Wallapop or Vinted too?
No: the status, the star, the archive and the notes only live in Ruit, and the marketplace never sees them.
