FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Have a question? Contact us

How do I add custom fields to WooCommerce products?
Create a custom attribute in Ruit and fill it in on each product. When Ruit publishes to WooCommerce, it writes the value as a custom field under its key.
Are they WooCommerce custom product attributes?
No: the ones you create in Ruit go to WooCommerce as custom fields of the product, not as product attributes.
How are they different from regular attributes?
Regular ones come from a fixed list, such as brand or size, and Ruit uses them when you publish on each marketplace. Custom ones are made by you and go to your WooCommerce store.
Can I make a field required?
Yes. If you mark it as required, the product cannot be published on WooCommerce without that value.
What kind of values does it accept?
Free text, a number or an option from a list. In lists, each option has the value sent to the store and an optional label, which is what your team sees.
