Connect Uniliber to RUIT
Connect your Uniliber bookseller account: type your panel's email and password into RUIT, and RUIT checks that it can sign in before saving the account.
In this tutorial you connect your Uniliber bookseller account to RUIT. Uniliber connects with the email and password of your bookseller panel, the same ones you use to manage your books. There is no extension to install and no browser to keep open: RUIT talks to Uniliber from its own servers. You only do it once, because afterwards RUIT signs back in by itself whenever it needs to.
You need your Uniliber bookseller account and a verified phone, because without it the connection wizard does not open.
1. Open the wizard
Go to Settings → Accounts, press Connect account and pick Uniliber. The wizard asks you for two things and nothing else.
2. Type your panel’s email and password
In Email, type the address you use to sign in to your Uniliber bookseller panel. In Password, that panel’s password. Press Connect.
RUIT signs in to your panel once with those details and opens your list of books to check that the session works. Only then does it save the account. If Uniliber does not let it in, nothing is saved and RUIT tells you on the spot.
What you have achieved
Your account appears under Connected Accounts as Uniliber followed by your email in brackets. When the session with Uniliber expires, RUIT signs back in with the email and password it saved, without you having to do anything. If you connect again with the same email, RUIT updates that account instead of creating another one.
Next step: bring your books into RUIT or publish your first book.
If something is off
- “Uniliber did not accept this email and password. Check them and try again.” Uniliber has refused the sign-in. Check that they get you into your Uniliber panel and type them into RUIT exactly the same way.
- “Uniliber’s check against automated access stopped the sign-in. Try again later.” It is not a problem with your details. Wait a while and connect again.
- “Uniliber did not answer or refused the request this time. Try again.” Uniliber did not reply in time or held the request back. Nothing stays blocked: press Connect again.
- “We could not confirm the sign-in with Uniliber. Try again later.” RUIT could not check that the session had signed in properly, so it has saved nothing. Try again later.
- Later on, RUIT says “Your Uniliber session has ended. Link the account again.” Uniliber no longer accepts the password RUIT saved, for example because you have changed it on Uniliber. Connect Uniliber again with the same email and your new password: RUIT updates the account you already had. With another email, RUIT would create a new account.
