What RUIT is: one inventory for seven marketplaces

One product, seven marketplaces, a single inventory with price and stock in sync. What RUIT connects, what it does on each one and what is free.

Difficulty: Easy 4min read

RUIT is for selling the same thing in several places at once without keeping seven inventories. You create the product once, choose where to publish it, and RUIT keeps the price and the stock where they belong on every marketplace. Today it connects seven: Wallapop, Vinted, eBay, WooCommerce, Shopify, PrestaShop and Todocolección, and it has IberLibro in beta.

Video not recorded yet: A general tour of RUIT

One inventory at the center

Each product lives once only in your RUIT inventory, with its photos, its price and its stock. That is where its listings come from: the same product can be published on Wallapop, on Vinted and in your Shopify store, and it is still a single product page. When you change the price or the stock, RUIT carries the change to every marketplace where it is published. When you sell it on one of them, RUIT deducts the stock and, if you have set it up that way, takes the listing down on the others so you do not sell it twice.

It works the other way round too: the listings you already have live are imported into the inventory, so you do not start from scratch.

Three ways of connecting a marketplace

Each marketplace connects in one of these three ways, and that explains almost everything else:

MarketplaceHow it connects
Wallapop and VintedThrough the Chrome extension, because they have no public API
eBayBy granting permission on its own site, without typing any password
Shopify, PrestaShop and TodocolecciónWith keys you paste into RUIT
WooCommerceAccepts both ways: grant permission from the store, or paste its keys in by hand
IberLibro, in betaWith keys from your bookseller account

The three routes are explained in how connecting an account works.

What RUIT does on each marketplace

Not everything reaches all seven. This is what there is today:

  • Publish and import, on all seven. You can bring over the listings you already have live.
  • Keep price and stock in sync on all seven, so you do not have to edit the same product five times.
  • Read and answer messages from a single inbox, but only on Wallapop and Vinted. Conversations from eBay can reach the inbox, but you cannot answer them from RUIT.
  • Search and compare products for sale, on Wallapop, Vinted and eBay. You can save a search on Wallapop and Vinted; having it alert you as well when something new appears is a paid feature.

On top of that sits the inventory, which belongs to RUIT. You will see your orders there too, but those are brought in from the marketplace, so they depend on the connected account, and today they only come from Wallapop, Vinted and Shopify.

What is free and what is paid

With the free account you have search, the product page, saved searches, connected marketplace accounts and the inventory, with no time limit.

What you pay for is what saves you work: publishing from RUIT, keeping price and stock in sync, the message inbox, the alerts from your searches and the automations. You try all of that free for 14 days on the Pro plan, with no card and no automatic renewal: the trial starts when you finish the welcome, right after creating the account.

Where to start

The route is the same for everyone, and it is the one the app’s own first-steps list sets out for you: create the account, install the extension if you are going to sell on Wallapop or Vinted, connect the first account, import what you already sell and publish.

Next step: creating your account. If you already have one, carry on with installing the extension.
